Clematis ‘Lech Kaczyński’ is a Polish cultivar developed by Polish breeder Szczepan Marczyński and introduced to Australia by Alameda Homestead Nursery in 2025. It is renowned for its large, velvety, purple-violet flowers. Each bloom measures approximately 12–16 cm in diameter and features yellow anthers on creamy filaments, creating a striking contrast against the rich petal colour.

This vigorous climber reaches heights of 1.7 to 2 meters, making it ideal for trellises, fences, or pergolas. It thrives in well-drained, fertile soils with a neutral to slightly acidic ph and prefers locations with good light exposure.

Belonging to pruning group 2, light pruning is required after the first flowering to encourage new blooms. Its long blooming period and vibrant colours make ‘Lech Kaczyński’ an excellent choice for adding vertical interest and attracting pollinators to the garden.
