Florida Clematis

The Florida group of clematis usually have ferny foliage and smaller plentiful flowers. The new growth continually produces flowers as they grow rather than growing to point with a big flush of flowers like the hybrid varieties do. Florida varieties generally tolerate light frost but are not fond of heavy frost.
